In the spring of 2024, I traded one distraction for another - ultimately seeking escape through travel to a foreign land bursting with bright colors and lively celebrations. But despite the vibrance around my friend, who was as depressed as I was, and I remained unchanged: two deeply saddened people, staring at each other with hollow eyes. The colors didn't save us. But at least,for a moment, we weren't alone.
